Would have suggested Dolomites but maybe a bit long a transfer.....??

I've just had a cracking week there with my two (only just) teenage daughters and they are hassling me already to go back next year...

Just re read, as long as she gets an understanding instructor who can cater exactly to what she needs then that is cool. Would not recommend a group lesson.

Now that's interesting, taking my mum (73) to the Dolomites next year when we go.... I thought winter walking and maybe some snowshoeing would be her limits....

Dave, On Wednesday, I'm guessing that you will be with the Aufhofers at 4.30pm in the Shirmbar, just below the Gondola. I am likely to be 10 min later than that, so will try and contact you on Jan's mobile, see if you want to meet up in the evening.

But I hope you have good skiing, the conditions are looking very good.

I'm sure by Wednesday all these place names will mean so much more to me... :D

I'll have my laptop with me and so longs the broadband connection is working I'll still be in the J2ski loop until you get here.

I'm usually very much a DIY guy.... but sometimes a bit of hunting can get you a real good deal - and not just last minute eaither.

This January we stayed in a 4 star chalet in La Tania with sauna, food wine, flights, transfers at a grand total of £423 each which I thought was a damn good deal. This was booked in April 2008 which got us a stack of discounts for committing early. The last minute prices from the same company were no better and we got our pick of chalet, resort and date by committing early. BUT I did a lot of hunting and haggling to get it.

When are you off
