Bad Gastein? In all fairness I was only there once with the school ages ago but there is plenty to keep you occupied. Plenty long windy blues/reds.. might be worth looking more in to that..?

Take 'sun block' full stop. Wear it at all times in the mountains, even when it is cloudy you could receive a pretty nasty burn. Remember to do under the tip of your nose.

This might not be of much use to you but last week I had the very same dilemma and I just went for cash.. didn't need so much because only have to pay for lunches but for convenience it is the way to go! Depends how much you think you'll need... or how much you are happy to carry about.
