Skiing BBR 89 @ 176cm this week.
Hired! Absolutely brand new, first day for them on snow was Monday. They are AMAZING and you don't half get a lot of comments and jealous looks from lifties etc. Had a really worthwhile lesson today and my instructor was jealous, he is dying to try them out. If you can cope with the colour and shape they have to be worth a try. They just want to fly but are really controllable and stable too. :D |

What a lovely thread!
Sorry I missed the start by being in L2A and skiing for the week  Very poor internet so not been able to get on as was my plan, certainly no chance of any pics, although I haven't taken many. This place (j2ski)has completely rekindled my passion for skiing since I joined last year and I know think of myself as a confirmed j2skier and total obsessive ski boar. How many sleeps is it before Serre Chev in march???? Don't have my countdown on here but still 2 days more skiing on this trip. |

Hi Guys, gals and undecided
Just thought I would drop a quick note to say that I have climbed the wall, skied down, done it again, again, and once more this week in L2A. Snow is bril and holding up superbly right down to resort, even good snow at 1350m. A week of sunshine and snow and good company. But - a very intermittent and poor internet connection. Lucky you!! As I haven't been able to drive you insane going on about the skiing. |

Does having a doze on the plane count as a sleep?
No sleeping in the car  Time to leave for the airport  This is the way to do a ski holiday! Decided to go 10.00am Booked 11.00am Ski gear found 12.00pm Packed 4.00pm re-packed 6.00pm Put in the things forgotten 8.00pm Leave 01.00am !! I am so ridiculously excited it is just *$%**&£** |

Go to bed you naughty boy!
I find silk liners very effective but others don't (previous thread). Decent gloves are the most important and no drafts between glove and jacket but liners keep the pinkies warm when it is very cold. Look forward to hearing about VT when you get back. :D |
