It was very dissapointing, I'm certainly glad i didn't have to pay the £10 (x2) for the entrance fee. Thanks to CEM for the free tickets.

I needed a few bits and got most of what i wanted:

A wheelie ski bag.
Giro Tune ups for my brain bucket
A bobble and gloves for my little one.
Some lovely Salomon gloves
Ski ties
A little lock for my new skis (cheap and not that sturdy but would deter the opportunist)

I did want to get some goggles but they were all rubbish in my opinion, either cheap £10 pairs or expensive ones in loud colours. So i will get some in resort.

Also got to chat with the crystal guys about xmas dinner

I LOVE orange, i would buy it but i just don't need it.
In fact, being a person who often buys on want and not need, i am tempted just because its orange.
if there is no interest and the price falls i am surely gonna buy this.

WOW! Bandit comes through again.

Thanks for the manual, i see i have PLENTY of reading to do.

Your description of the 'glide plate' sounds right. I can see how that would help, I'm not sue i have seen it before though on my rental skis.

Bandit. I can see the appeal of that!

I took a look at my bindings and to be honest, with my limited knowledge, i wouldn't dare go anywhere near them with a screw driver!
I took another look today and it became apparent i know nothing really. The front toe piece has a bit that slides left to right (whats that all about?, And i can see a few screws but wouldn't want to turn them.
I have searched online for manuals/instructions for these (atomic xto12) but found nothing, i didn't get any literature with them.
I heard, not sure how true it is, that manufacturers do not supply 'manuals' as they do not want people tinkering with safety devices which would possibly leave them wide open to claims.

I have seen these ones, a little more expensive. My plan was to only use them whilst in my bag to stop them rattling about.

bandit wrote:Snapzzz, however you choose to store your skis, ensure that the ski keeps it's flex. So, avoid storage that makes the ski flatten. Either bindings down, or bindings towards a wall if standing up. The garage is a popular choice as it's cool (ish). Avoid the loft, they can get really hot in summer!

Are your bindings on a rail?

I think the jury is still out on the practice of releasing the binding tension when storing skis. It used to be the done thing. I still release the tension on my heel pieces, but then I'm old school )

Hmm, the loft was my plan.

My bindings are on a rail, not sure what this means for storage though.
