Why spend 4+ hrs on the train when the minibus will take 2 hours?
As ISE says, it's the wrong direction AND you'd need to go over a pass that closes in bad weather. |

Katy - we're booked through Ski Independence and they have booked us with alp-line from GVA to Flaine. Hopefully they'll work out for us!

There are quite a few companies to try:
www.alp-line.com www.a-t-s.net www.montblanctaxi.com www.chamonixtransfer.com www.skiidygonzales.com among others... As long as they have a french taxi licence you should be fine. |

Suggestion - put her into ski school and don't try to teach her yourself unless that's what you do for a living. It's money well spent.

Superb - not seen that in the shops!

You should NEVER stop in the middle of a slope - always at the side. You should also stop vertically not horizontally if in a group.
Also don't fall into the boarders' trap of stopping just over the brow of a hill. Fools!!! |

The Trois Vallees used to offer a pedestrian lift pass - with the number of gondolas you could meet for lunch at a different restaurant each day, and the GPs could get between Meribel and Courchevel easily.
Zermatt would also be good. |

Merry Christmas everyone.
