Thats what I am doing. Just have to decide if I should take my snowboarding best mate, or my non-snowboarding lovely girlfriend.

I cant find it now, been searching around for last half hour, found one of his paintings in a small art gallery and it said estimate at auction £60. Mind you it was horrible

First had a letter from John Maplin telling me about the sale. Looked on Sothebys site and there had been a gallery of Teds work with a headline of what one of his paintings had fetched.
About two weeks ago took my painting to a local valuers and auction house who suggested I insure it for £15,000, 'cos they had heard through the grapevine that his paintings were in big demand at the moment. But also that it was only worth what some-one was prepared to pay for it.
Six paintings........how much did he charge for those. I have read on some traveller review sites that he actually gave several people paintings for free. But we shall see, I still have not done anything with mine, its still not framed.

That didnt really get off to a very good start, did it?

I know every-one laughs at that. Thats why its on my I pod, so no-one else has to listen.
When I got married again 8 years ago it was a civil service in a hotel and we had to make cds for the music we wanted for the service. I made my entrance to aerosmiths ' dont want to miss a thing', my OH nearly had a fit, still married me tho'

By my reckoning I think I am quite a bit older than the majority on here. So I dont know what happened to me in the 80's, but I dont like any of the music, except may-be the sex pistols. What happened? Perhaps its association some people have with 'Happy times' and remembering music you associate with them. That says it all for me in the 80's.
So on my ipod is:
Loads of aerosmith
Loads of levellers
Muse
Coldplay
Kooks
Lennie Kravitz
Take That
Razorlight
Snow Patrol
Robbie Williams
The Shirehorses ......comedy value
Half man half biscuit.....comedy value
Paul Weller
Daft Punk
Stereophonics
Franz Ferdinand

Possibly 'cos my life took a turn for the better from late 90's til now.
