We were there a couple of years ago, tho we didn't stay in Les M, but down the road in Praranger.

We drove and had to start our day from Les M. It's great there. you're so quickly away from the ugly buildings, it doesn't take long to ski to Val Thorens or Meribel. Courcheval was a bit further, but all easily done in a day. We went in April school holidays, barely a queue in sight as well.

Don't take too much notice of what people say bout how it looks. Like you say, you're going for the skiing and it's not like you are expecting choc box pretty.

The lifts out of Les M are fast and some of the bubbles had covers too. We really liked it there for the skiing. St Martin de Belleville is a pretty little village & worth a visit if you get chance.
Enjoy.

Thanks dids. :D

My preferences in order of priority are:

1. The skiing (Extent for intermediate/advanced)
2. Ski in/out
4. Quality of lifts/piste maintenance
3. Mountain restaurants/bars
4. Village restaurants/bars
5. Cost
6. Chocolate box pretty

From what I've been told by you and others I'll have five of the six...not bad on my budget!

I'm so excited!

Too late...I've already cancelled it!

I've lost my deposit, so I won't be able to ski at all, this year now. I'll get really stressed with work not having a holiday and will probably get the sack, so I won't be able to go next year either. Then I'll get really depressed and won't be able to get another job so I'll never be able to go skiing again.

I never thought my skiing days would end this way.

At least when I'm trying to keep warm in some door way, in a couple of years time, I'll be able to point at the 'Fly Wickers' plane overhead and say I used to know him and it was all his fault! :(

The snow did look though, didn't it, I thought it would be yellow and brown in colour how wrong can you be

Yes I did do a bit of research before booking, I think that livecam clinched it for me. I haven't read any bad reviews yet apart from ugly buildings, in the center of town. I can live with that...in fact I do live with it here in lewisham!

Skin flint...pot's and kettles spring to mind now Mr 'I won't fly with Ryan Air' Wickham.

I am rather short of money at the moment after embarking recently on a new, equally expensive hobby

If these companies do not treat me as I expect to be treated I don't use them as in previous postings I'd rather use a more expensive carrier if there is one than use that Irish blokes company..... if you followed suit you to would be treated a lot better than the mugs they think that we are. Now back to X factor

I've never used Ryan Air and don't intend to either...I might think about it when they change their name to 'Fly Wickers' though. )

Don't use them, but you can use "Fly Wickers " free of charge. 8)

You're too kind! :)
