I found another article here http://www.energymatters.com.au/index.php?main_page=news_article&article_id=890 That states
"Tenna is a small, quiet village in Switzerland with 109 inhabitants; but has become big news after announcing a rather unique project - a ski-lift powered by solar energy; the second in the world. The solar panels for the Tenna project will be placed on top of the drag lift itself and will be adjustable in order to protect them from buildup of snow and to better track the sun, providing increased electricity production." |

Isn't it a drag lift? I assume that will cut out a lot of the 'snow weight'. The panels will have to be kept clear to be able to collect the energy, let alone to counter the weight of the snow.

Thanks Wickers. Nice to have info from an unbiased source. I have a distrust of travel agents :-S
Our group ranges from just past beginner to near experts. Our hotel is next to a drag on some nursery slopes which enables us to ski to the Carosella? Gondola. |

Hi,
Looking for a little advice from those of you who know Livigno. We've been given a good quote for the San Giovanni Hotel. http://www.stgiovanni.com/eng/dove.php it's at the top end of the San Rocco area. Most of our party wants to be close to the main centre of nightlife in Livigno and close to the main lifts. We've been told the hotel is 700m from 'bars, etc'. I have a feeling that there are bars throughout the 'high road' in Livigno. I'm worried that though we may be near some bars it won't be the main hub. Any info about the location and how close it is to Livigno's amenities would be gratefully recieved. |

I had a great teacher in Sauze d'Oulx two years on the trot. He was called Corrado. A very sprightly guy of about 65.
I don't know the calibre of the other instructors there though. I was the only person in our group to have private lessons. I sorted my lessons out with the ski school via email a couple of months before we arrived. |

But is skiing whilst drunk an actual offence? It seems that it should be but I can't find any evidence to confirm this. Will he just be charged for causing the accident or will his being drunk lead to a greater charge?

I hope he recovers. An awful story. We were in Bardonecchia this year. Luckily we didn't see any accidents.
What are the legalities of drinking and skiing? |

Many women claim to be 'more clumsy' and have their concentration drop just before and at the beginning of their period. If this really is the case you would expect a greater amount of accidents at this time. This article only mentions one type of injury, what about injuries in general?
