Been looking at Ski Tracks. Thinking of splashing out the 79p fee. It says that it does not drain battery power. Anyone any experience of this?

Is it just GPS that it uses for location etc?

Surely the max speed all day will be when I am on a cable car? I am no speed demon

If you're worried about battery drain Ski Tracks can be set to stop tracking when your battery reaches a certain level. Meaning you'll have enough to make a call, receive texts, etc.

We were members for a couple of years but never got the money back in discounts. There are always discounts on the things I thought I'd use it for that were usually better and not compatible. Saying that I probably didn't try hard enough. We ski as part of a group so the holiday discounts never came into use. Chill Factor, I used their discounts. Ellis Brigham, I rarely buy a huge amount from there in one year. I wouldn't say it's not worth the money. Just that I didn't get enough out of membership.
If you have the time to spend trawling Ebay you can get some bargains. It is time consuming though and a bargain can suddenly become quite expensive in a short space of time. Plus you may enter a bidding war as an item's about to close.

The best ski pants I've ever had I got ridiculously cheap on Ebay before my first time skiing.

Every 'Distance Purchase' in the UK allows 7 days for the customer to return the goods, in their original condition, no questions asked.

However you are likely to have to pay for the returns yourself. Weigh up the pricing of heavy boots, in a parcel sized box as part of the cost of the purchase if you intend to go that route. If it's a NI based store the price for a private courier is likely to be expensive, I'd go for Royal Mail. You'll also want to get it via a service that gives proof of postage and confirmation of receipt, which will add to the return costs.
This is a link to the British Ski-Boot Fitters Association. http://www.skibootpro.co.uk/Findabootfitter.html

I haven't used any of them so I can't vouch for them. I'm sure there are a few on here though that can add some info.
