Well, I've learnt something today about measuring steepness of slopes in percent. I thought previously it was a typo and meant 78 degrees - hence I found it so unbeleivable. It's a pity one persons mistake is an opportunity for another to try and make them look foolish though. No need really. |

Tony is correct in what he says about that facility.
However, its probably best to phone or e-mail the accomodation direct, as the information you get will then be bang up to date regarding availabilty. |

Did you ski it with a class, or on your own/with family etc?? I'm genuinely interested. |

Well, I haven't tried it yet, due to some of the horror stories bandied about.
if conditions were really favourable I would give it a go. Ellestine did it last year and found it pretty ok I think? |

There is indeed such a sign there.
For what its worth, only one small section is genuinely steep, the rest is not. It just so happens that on the chair ride up you can't see the steep bit and this catches a lot of people out. |

You really, really should check the previos posts, as you're in danger of making something out of nothing. Tell you what, when I go to Mayrhofen in December I'll ask some people who may be able to give us the answer as to the steepness of the bloody thing. Then you can argue the toss with them as well! |

Like i said, 55 degrees is my ESTIMATE of the STEEPEST part - average will of course be condiderably less than that. Harakiri - 78 degrees. Trig lesson (not needed, but thanks anyway) - no charge. Banter on this forum - PRICELESS. |
