Where have you seen that Dave, as I can't find anything to confirm on their website?

I don't know about getting over the fear of speed, but skiing at a controlled pace you are comfortable with is SO important, so good for you for sticking to your guns and enjoying it.

bandit wrote:David, it's a good find and will help you with the background info, however it is an American view of skiing. For example, in Europe you will be taught to carry your skis with the tips facing forward and down, not facing backwards and up, where they could injure someone behind you.

Absolutely.

Trying to avoid people who are carrying their skis incorrectly is a pain in the **** and shouldn't even be necessary, were the cuplrits to give it some thought.

I've encountered some very polite, friendly and helpful souls in French resorts, along with some of the rudest too. I guess that could be said of anyone, anywhere though and is nothing at all to do with "being French."

There's good and bad wherever you look and although France is not my favoured destination (I hate the thought of lift-closure in bad weather for one thing,) I have several friends who ski French resorts regularly and really enjoy it.
Skiing in Zell am See

Hi

There's a reasonable amount in Zell to keep your group happy, although the ski area is hardly extensive.

The red down to Shuttdorf can be quite a test in less-than-ideal conditions and some of the runs further over are interesting enough.

If conditions aren't great head to Kaprun and the glacier, but expect queues and limited terrain.

Nightlife is pretty good, mind!!

Have a good one.

I think the black you're own about Skidaddle was easier than the red next to it.

I think you are right. Just the very bottom is a lot steeper, but otherwise its tame.
