Looking good on the webcams. Lots of pistes open. Plenty of snow. this southern area of the alps appears to be doing well for snow at this time of year. If you go next week, watch out for hordes of British kids on school ski trips....

Looks like Andorra's the place to be this year if you want spring snow

That kind of makes sense, given the accommodation I've seen in Are. Trysil seems to have some big chalets/apartments.

Have you looked at any of the other Scandinavian resorts, such as Hemsedal, Trysil, Are? They may fit the bill. Needn't be expensive, either IF you can self-cater.

Hi, Fjc. Good luck with your search - I have pasted a Google Translate translation of your post below.
Dear friends, We need your valuable expertise! The question: What is the best resort (not far from Annemasse) to combine free-ride for parents and nursery / ski lessons for children, weekends? We are a couple of free-ride "fools/madmen" with 3 children (6, 4 and 1 years old) ... and yes, it's complicated to manage, but we remain motivated !. Could you help us find a ski resort with childcare service for the smallest one and ski lessons/course for the bigger two kids for 2 days of the weekend? I really searched, but it's downright difficult to find a resort with good conditions for free-ride (north face, interesting terrain ...) and with a children's service for the 2 days of the weekend (often just one day). A thousand thanks in advance for your help, A father who really needs powder. |
