Flaine snow ?

you still have a month. plenty of time for it to start snowing. And I'm sure I heard somewhere that Flaine has the most snow cannons in Europe (or it might have been the first now that i think about it)
Budget SKI resort - help

Try Soldeu. Andorra is usually quite cheap
From looking at the piste map and from memory you will only have to ski short bits of reds. But from my experience I have always found the runs in soldeu quite easy, they have always being well groomed and good condition which makes them easier to ski.
The Tignes webcam is very similar, skiing to bottom but there is no snow anywhere else :D

The only reason I don't wear one is that I find rental ones very uncomfortable

and being a student I cannot currently afford one that I like or find comfortable enough to wear all day

For picturesque interesting runs, the run down to Oz on Poutran/L'Olmet runs in Alpe D'Huez. Fantastic, everyone has a smile on their face at the bottom of that.

The first time I went down that I managed to stop but my body kept on going and I smashed my face into my pole that I stuck in the ground

I didn't have a smile at the bottom instead I had blood pouring out of my mouth.

But I still agree its a very good run, it seems very quiet in that video though compared to when I skied it.
