We stopped of in sun peak for 3 days a couple of years ago great little resort, amazing tree lined runs dinner is busy the school kids come out for a dinner time ski. The nights were quiet but with kids that will be cool. You can literally ski through the town. We would definitely return if we did the whistler Banff ski rin again.
Beginner's guide to clothing for skiing/boarding

My advice is ensure you buy good base layers!

Buy proper ski socks, big woolly socks will make your feet cold and give you less control.

Skiing is the single greatest thing I have ever done but it's no fun when you are cold or so warm you are sweating, Thin layers are the answer.

Never ever wash any waterproof clothing with wash powder.

TX Maxx is your friend!!
Hi Dultimo, I worked for Silverski a few seasons ago, they offer excellent value ski holidays in La Plagne and the 3 valleys.

Most are ski in ski out chalets, food is normally good and plentiful we are looking to book with them this season on our first family ski with our little girl.

Flights from Manchester and Gatwick on a Sunday so you get the empty slopes on a Saturday as its change over for most of the big TO, Saturday were our favorite day for skiing when we worked out there.

I have used Bonjour Bonjour and they are also excellent but you have to arrange your own flights and transfers, Silverski is far better value and its all sorted for you.

I have done the DIY trips before which if booked early aren't to expensive, Ryanair sale and a hostel. But I have left it late. there are chalet deals from £299 all in which would be spot on but then there is single occupancy. I may just end up in La plagne with silverski but after a 100 days of skiing there last season I fancied a change
solo ski trip

After the excitement and adventure of Canada a few weeks ago I am keen to get another trip in thus season only problem the wife has no holidays entitled left!! Friends have booked Andorra which really doesn't interest me not enough piste miles.

So looking at taking a solo trip which I am cool with having backpacked around the world on my own only issue is finding a company that don't sting you for single occupancy. I worked for Silverski last and know they sell rooms off last minute with no under occupancy charge.

Question is, is anybody aware of any other companies that do the same?

Looking March 21st and will consider anywhere with over 200 km of piste.

I am of the understanding the 4 man Colosses lift was replaced by a 8 man lift to reduce the bottle neck at belle plagne. So I short yes

Work the season then that way you get to spend the season in the mountains for free.

We worked for Silverski in La Plagne as chalet hosts we had to work but it was great fun we skied 6 days a week for a minimum of 6 hours per day. We actually managed to come home with more money than we went with. Although we did all activities on offer bobsleigh etc, went out for meals and partied when we liked. All in all a great season which Was very social and great fun
