Just booked my Second ski trip of the up coming Season and looking for the cheapest possible accommodation in Sauze D'oulx or a resort with in driving distance of Turin.
My christmas package deal has cost a fare bit but I couldn't turn another 4 days down with my mate as flight into Turin with ryanair were as cheap as chips just need to find some accommodation to suit. Thank you for any help. |

News in News In!!
Got a really positive result on my girlfriends return to shop, she returned tot he shop and went to see the guy whom had fitted my boots. After explaining the problem he took the other boots stright off her without her even trying them on again and started the whole boot fitting process again. Resulting in her getting a pair of boots which she feels amazing in and has great control off. So if anybody else is going to use Ellis Brigham Castleford make sure you see Eddy he really knows his stuff. Bring on the SNOW!!!   |

I looked into this for new year and decided that Cervina was the better option and the money I saved has paid for mine and and girfriends new ski boots   also flying from Donacster Airport was a massive advantage (20 minutes away).
I really can't wait now and already doing the Mrs's head by looking at the Snow forcast everyday!! |

Thank you for all the advise, I have spoken with the shop today and they have said they will do what ever it takes to make them right, and at the extreme replace the boot for a different boot.
will come back to you all on our progress. |

I have been with my girlfriend today to buy our boots for the coming season!!
My new boots Skied amazing on the Castleford slope but my Girlfriend's not so well. We both had custom insoles. My boot fitter really seemed to now what he was doing and asked me all the questions I had read up on that he should resulting in me not buying the boots which I liked the look of but an amazing fitted boot which responds a million times better than anything I have worn before!! (my first bought boots) My girlfriends fitter didn't seem to vocal on the question side or knowledge and kept having to ask myu boot fitter questions, the result, my girlfriend skiing with little control and saying see has had rental boots. On getting home and going though the questions that my boot fitter had asked me and going though the whole trying the boot on without the liner and checking the spaces and it seems to me the boot she was sold has to much room around the side of the foot and the top of the foot, which means she is getting alot of movement in the boot. My question really is if the boot is to big can it be made smaller for a closer fit? if not where do we stand?? The boots were bought from Ellis Brigham. I feel disappointed that this has happened and wished I had stayed closer to my girlfriend during her fitting as I had picked up on thew fact her fitter seemed clueless!! |

thanks for the advice!! expensive is not good as I have a pair of boots to buy my Mrs for christmas on top of a Ski trip to Cervinia at Christmas, I been told that it is very cold their (-25) this is why I am a little worried as last year I lost the feeling in my feet and is was only - 10,
Last year I had such shit conditions and ski hire that I am determined to get it all right for this trip, thats why I have gone for the height and pritty snow sure slopes of Cervina / Zermatt. God I can't wait to hit the slopes, T minus: 3 months 29 days until I do!! |

Thinking of buying some Ski boot warmers, as I hate cold feet and when I went for a boot fitting the fitter told me my thick thermal socks would have to go if I was getting a pair of fitted boots.
I am thinking boot warmers are the only answer but was wondering how effective they are and which are the best ones?? any advice given is very greatful |

last year my camera packed up and I didn't come home with any pictures
So I have bought A new Sony Cybershot ready for my Christmas Ski trip to Cervinia / Zermatt which I have been told has the best views in Skiing. On reading the instruction manual I noticed it said the operating Temprature is between 0 and +40, So it's making me wonder if it was the cold temprature of Skiing that killed my camera last year, has anybody else had problems with there camera while skiing?? really want to get some good shots this time but don't want to kill another camera. What cameras do other people use?? |
