I wake up and the first thing I do is go to the window, I stare for a bit and then put coffee on. I stare out of the window again whilst rolling a ciggie and waiting for the coffee. I then make my coffee, put on my boots and ski jacket (over pj's) and then go out onto the balcony and take my time with my fag and my coffee, looking at the views, looking for snowflakes and looking at people as they go by.

Next I start making breakfast and wait for the sizzling of the bacon to wake everyone up.

After breakfast I have a wash (not shower, Sorry Ian, but I don't see the point before skiing either)and then enjoy putting on all my gear, especially if I have some new stuff.

Then it's back onto the balcony for second fag and coffee while everyone else gets ready.

After that I go inside clean my teeth and tidy up the mess made by my hubby who would have turned everthing upside down looking for a glove, or lip balm or something, there is always something.

Then out comes the piste map...discussion...route planned and off we go.

Excited and slightly nervous in the gondola, can I remember how to do it?

At the top, ski's on, oh god how do you do it? Here we go, nice snow plough (no one was watching they are all thinking the same)

A few minutes later...Yay, I'm doing it...and off we go...woo hoo!

I CAN'T BL**DY WAIT NOW!!!

My ski's are marked left and right (even though the graphics make it obvious anyway). I still ski well some days and like a giraffe on other days!

I was reading about Zermatt last night in the WTSS book (from about 2003 I might add), apparently a 'must-ski' before you die. Only thing putting me off at the moment, and please correct me if this has changed, is the hike/bus to the lifts. I would rather walk 15 mins to a lift than wait an hour for a bus, apparently its about 20 mins max from anywhere in the village to the main lifts?

I prefer to get the bus, I hope our accomodation has a bus stop very nearby. :D

Does watching skiing on TV count as exercise? That's the best news I've heard all day!

It does if you don't use the remote control.

Lol...I think I'll give the bunk beds a miss, my age wouldn't affect my ability to climb a ladder but the jaegerbombers might!

Souds like a fab deal though, I'm sure you'll fill the spaces.

At your age you should look after your back love

Thanks for the advice Ian, I'll take that on board...my parents always said I should listen to and respect my elders.
 I'm not a football hooligan, in fact I don't even like football...Cheeky B***er
