With all due respect to the Reps, you need to remember that they are typically 19 year old kids with little or no money and whatever they have tends to go on cheap pizza and booze (and good luck to them).

Unfortunately, in my experience, this does tend to mean that they will have little or no first hand experience of the local decent restaurants.

I did say I didn't blame them.

Actually I have to say the recommendations Skiworld give are usually very good. I believe the company approach a range of popular resturants in each resort and secure discounts for it's staff in return for recommending them to clients.
Has this ever happened to you?

We ate upstairs in L'arbina 3 weeks ago, excellent food, prices not too bad compared to other resturants.
Loop bar charge 3.5 euros a pint during happy hour. Which is really good! Cheaper by the jug!

I can recommend piste to powder, their guides are excellent.
If you're venturing well away from the pistes then a guide is essential as is full backcountry kit and knowing how to use it.
Hire a helmet, the most important bit of ski equipment you'll ever own is that 6 inches between your ears.

Sounds as if you've got all of the essentials. Have a fabulous time. I would be envious but I'll be in Les Arcs!
