Sounds like a plan! I've never skied with a sock puppet before... |

Norwich has one of it's slopes and it's quarterpipe covered in snowflex, it's very forgiving for beginners. It's slower than traditional dryslope surface. It doesn't take an edge as well so you have to ski quite aggresively. The only thing I've found it good for is practicing foot turning and little bouncy powder turns.
I don't particually like the stuff. If you learn on snowflex, just be careful when you first get on snow because it's going to be a lot quicker. On the plus side, if you're turning on snowflex you'll master turns on snow really quickly. |

It’s so sad when tragedies like this happen; it just goes to show how easily life changing and as in this case fatal injuries can be suffered.
I just hope that this will encourage more people to wear helmets on the slopes. |

Have a look at this, explains why they have split Ski Sunday into two programmes, for once the BBC seems to have got it right.

Very funny, the look on the face of the guy struggling at the top of the rope pull. It just says next year we're going to Spain...

Really enjoyed it, spectaular photography.
Only concern is the lack of preparation apparent for the climb. Surely the programme is partly about respecting the mountains? If so how does attempting to climb Mont Blanc without any acclimatisation fit into this? They cover how dangerous altitude sickness is then show someone clearly suffering, struggling to climb a steep pitch at over 4000m. I hope the rest of the series promotes best practise, they don't need to take un-necessary risks to make a great show. The free-fall, that was awesome. Ed's comment that all he could do was swear, really summed it up. Can't wait for next weeks. |
