Hi Snowsnail.

I drove out to ADH last season and had some issues trying to book in advance. In the end we just went and ended up parking in one of the numerous free open air parks. Obviously it is busy on arrival day, so we managed to find somewhere to park until all the day skiers had departed, then we moved into the main park in Bergers even though we were up the top of the resort in Cognet. Only thing you need to be aware of if it parking outside, is if it snows. You may need to move the vehicle if they want to plough the carpark to keep it clear. Do not park on the street even though it looks like everyone is doing so, we saw many cars towed during the week.

Reminds me of a friend who has skied since he was 3 years old (half Swedish), anyway his wife was pregnant and did not want him to go skiing with us in case he did himself some damage. To cut a long story short, she insisted he took her on a last minute shopping trip to Barcelona instead, before the baby was born, where he promptly tripped on a kerb and shattered his ankle. He was in plaster for 8 months and was very little help with the new baby :(

Sadly he has not been skiing since, as he still has trouble with his ankle.

If the news elsewhere on the forum is accurate, then it may be overrun with Australians this year Ade :)

LOL, spend god knows how much building a 5 star hotel, then implement a dodgy ill thought website which fails totally to load a booking page for anyone thinking of going there :)

LOL, I suspect that may well lead to a soggy bottom! :o
