Haha, yeah when I was in Alpe D'Huez just last week I also seen a load of people dressed up as super-heroes and what ever else.
Seems to be the thing to do these days :D |

Thanks for the input guys. I don't really know anything about Italy, but i'll do some research and look into what you've suggested :)

Hello and welcome to J2Ski! :)
I have a pair of Dynastar Nothin' But Troubles - 175cm (I'm 6'2) and weigh 14 stone. I have had a few lessons off a freestyle instructor and he told me that due to freestyle skis being twin-tipped, you should aim for having them a little longer than you usually do (usally being the tip as high as between your chin & nose) - This is because at the back of the skis, where it is tipped, you're loosing a couple cm of ski that you may well be used to. It really depends if these skis are purely for park and jibbin' about or if you want to use them also for skiing about some mountain. If purely for park, you might prefer slightly shorter skis - I'm no expert, just passing on some knowledge. Hope this helps a little! |

Good afternoon to you all.
A friend and I have booked some flights to Turin, Italy in March with the intention of going skiing somewhere decent & close. What we're planning is to create the cheapest ski DIY holiday possible. Anyone have any suggestions as to what we can cut out/find shortcuts around? :) We both have full UK drivers licenses. I haven't really looked into much about car hire abroad and weighed them against airport transfer buses. I'm in college just now you see ;) Studying hard, of course :) Any help is much appreciated! |

First of all, thanks for all the quick replies!
That's what I don't understand! How can you work in a bar or waitressing for guests if you don't speak their language? However, you're all full of confidence about it and i'm cetainly determined to do it! About what I have in mind to work.. I honestly don't mind - anything except catering really - I can't cook to save myself :) haha. Probably behind a bar or something like that. Would be only too happy to do that for a season! |
