Plastic slopes are unforgiving on poor technique which is why I suspect people generally prefer the snow domes. However, you become a technically good skier if you stay on the plastic.

Also with a group you can see the mistakes of others and hopefully learn from them.
Don't buy any equipment until you're hooked, and definitely don't buy skis that are too advanced for your ability as you won't be able to handle them. Enjoy! |

30 mins to Moutiers for the TGV to Paris so that's easy too.
Good place for access to the 3Valleys - do the largest 6 north american resorts still fit into the 3 valleys? |

It's Easter week and the start of the school holidays, so I'd expect it to be busy.
With france, unless you like living literally in each others pockets, work on the number of bedrooms, not the sleeping capacity- if 4 of you, go for a 2 bed apt or 2bed + cabin/alcove, not a 1 bed, or studio. Any of the Tarantaise resorts are likely to still offer good skiing that week unless there's a March heatwave! |

As Daved says - why would you want to travel between them by road? Far better to stay in one place (Meribel) and easily access the whole area from there. It's the best part of an hour and a half by road from VT to either Meribel or Courchevel.

Very sad, but as Pablo says, there is absolutely no indication in the report that suggest it was a head injury.
