daved, It is these pictures and videos that keep us going from year to year (during the summer months) Great video  Now, thanks to snowb4ndit's help, here is the image I tried to post earlier. Can you hear the hissss of this snow gun?

It didn't load as I wanted it to. :( The whole album was accessible... the other pictures were of a local lake and dam - nothing risqué  But just to load the image of the snow gun didn't work for me. I don't understand as it, like yours, is from photobucket . I'll work on it later and find my error. Your picture evokes that warm cozy feeling that the cold can bring on - when we embrace the weather as it is meant to be embraced  Exactly what I had in mind :D:D:lol: Mike  |

We all have our favourite picture -- the one that brings back the good feeling of warmth that only skiing in the cold weather can do. So I would like to share one of mine ...... when I learn to load a single image ....

Pavel,
I do recall the many hotels along the road to this place; and the several "condos" on stilts along the winding road up to the parking lot. I thought the horse drawn wagon was a nice touch. I say wagon as we were there in the summer of 1999 to check out the place before our first skiing visit there in 2000. We took the main lift to the top for the great view of the lower lands. Here the wagon provided transportation to one of the hill top lodges for lunch time. During the winter the wagons became sleighs. Not quite the sleigh ride suggested for Ian, but easy transport back to the main lift. We will have to get back there and have a look for that picture :!: The Catholic Churches welcome all who may like to visit (or stay) - but I'm a duly baptised member from way back. This is a truly great cathedral. It was when visiting in Northern Ireland while the unrest was still ongoing that I kept looking over my shoulder while in church on a Sunday. Everything was OK but the media hype was in the back of my mind  Didn't visit the lower sections (but did visit the gift shop)... maybe on the next visit. Did Mama have an affection for St Bernard dogs ?? Is there a story here?? Mike  |

Caron,
Better book Sean Connery for the part .... Pavel, Any secrets or other stories you have shared with me are safe ... what goes on in ,,,, stays in ,,,,, I think before I knew of Pavel I visited the cathedral he mentioned (all the crutches, braces of the miraculously healed are at the front as he mentioned. And therefore I may have skied at the resort in his story. Does it have a golf course to the left side of the "main" lift looking up the hill? If this is so, the story means even more to me. Mike  |

Dave Mac, You are correct - I agree with your point of view on this. I had forgotten about the mid-war elections. But we have had an election in Canada and despite the electorate not wanting continuation of involvement in Afghanistan, the troops are still there because the twit that was Prime Minister promised Bush to keep them there and that twit was re-elected. I didn't vote for that twit - I voted for the other one  (He just seems to be the truthful one.) Maybe it is enough to say the people are not repersented by their elected ones very well. Ross - any bites on the gear you are selling  Mike  |

Sorry to hear that news Tony. No time is a good time for that news but it just plain sucks at this time of year. I agree to a point with who's fault it is but really it isn't the American people's fault but really the blame sits at the feet of the soon to be gone (thank God) leader. I fully believe we will see in our life times the trial of GWB for war crimes. I think if Peter Schiff, in the video link that ise posted had some power then the mess would have been curtailed years ago. All the other guys must be in government's back pocket. Peter is the only one that made sense ... and notice the dates of his predictions. The only thing he missed was gold reaching $1000. But only by about $20 +/-. Best of luck Tony, Mike  |

All the time... Well most of the time... The question at the top of the lift ... left or right ??? she selects the next run. It is all good to me - left or right :!:. After a while she may wish a rest so off I go for a solo run. Not as much fun without her  If she has a good time then I will too. Every Saturday morning (after a stressful work week) we leave home about 7:45am for the 9 am first chair. Being there for the first chair keeps me happy and this may be her effort for the good days we have. By the end of the season, there is no getting her out the door early on a Saturday morning :!: Mike  |
