Next October its our 10th wedding anniversary, thats us sorted we are going to The Tux, wish we had thought of it for this year, I am on holiday next week and we could have booked some-thing. The hotel Tino,s at looks lovely as well. I dont think I will be able to book local flights, we only seem to go to Innsbruck during winter months.

book flights to Munich and then it's only a 2 hour drive from there

I can get flights to Innsbruck from Gatwick so I would think about an hour,s drive from Innsbruck. Probably would taxi it, dont really want to hire a car, we do enough driving at home it would be nice not to drive for a week.

I would hazard a guess at a taxi costing somewhere around 100 euros each way from Innsbruck Airport. Its about an hour and 15 to Mayrhofen from there, and Tux is another 15 to 20 mins further up the valley from there, not sure how many miles exactly. I would certainly suggest car hire as more favourable. You can also get a train to Jenbach, and a bus or train to Mayrhofen, and a post bus to Tux, that would probably be cheapest option.

17 km Mayrhofen to Hintertux, 4.50 EURO on the bus from Mayrhofen Bahnhof

Yeah, the conditions on the Sunday were phenomenal. Can't wait to get out on the slopes again. Thinking of organising a team building exercise for my staff this winter, a long weekend skiing sounds appropriate....lol

BTW....I don't do smiling for photos

I haved seen all equity in my vested company stock options wiped out in a week :(

It will come back.

On another note GM will not fail, they have far too many assets to fail, if I was in a position to purchase strock right now I would go for GM, the price is exceptionally attractive.

As for unseasonal snow, the Alps are covered in it )

We could have a sweep for next time Tino heads for the mountains. What are the odds on:

No Insurance:

Getting Drunk:

Falling Over Whilst Sober:

Fancying The Barmaid:

Slumming In A Posh Hotel

I will try for this one bandit....

No Insurance: 100/1. Tino had at least three insurances, he just didn't have one that covered the helicopter.

Getting Drunk: 4/5 on

Falling Over Whilst Sober: Evens

Fancying The Barmaid: 6/4 on, (after all, none of us have seen her)

Fancying The Barmaid: After Getting Drunk: 4/6 favourite

Fancying The Barmaid: (Including any chances of trapping off), after falling Over Whilst Sober: 15/1

Slumming In A Posh Hotel: Void bet, all spare cash taken up on getting an extra three insurances to cover the helicopter.

Who cares, Tino has surely won the first J2ski award for first ski of the year. :-)

Is one allowed to bet on oneself?

Okay here are some photo's.....

I have been to California 67 times this year, and going is a doddle. As has been posted it is perfect for skiing as you naturally wake early. Coming back is an absolute twat.

I am going again on Wednesday....which reminds me, BA gave me a bonus of 70,000 miles for doing it as I am a gold member, which means I have enough miles for 2 business class tickets to Vancouver ) Anyone interested?
