Mayrhofen?
Dang several posts including an extra resort since I started typing, must learn to use more than two fingers. The answer above is an attempt at the swskier pic. |

Excellent advice. All I would add, is that as far as boots go, throw all your initial thoughts about colours or brands you like out of the window before you go to the shop. Try and source a shop with a very good recommendation about their service, then go a see what they suggest. Try on several pairs, and if need be keep them on and walk round the shop for quite a while. Be warned that boot buying can take a lot of time, it is not like buying a pair of trainers. But whatever you do, buy a boot which fits, is suitable for your Skiing and is comfortable, rather than go for something because the colour matches your Skis or clothing. My brother and myself both have quite wide feet, and we have both independently ended up with Head boots. I am extremely happy with mine, and would suggest that anyone with a wide foot checks them out. Good luck. PS. I too am a big fan of Sunshine. I had some great days there last Jan, blasting round with the guides :) |

Well, if you are Skiing pistes only, I would definitely suggest you try a pair of Volkl Tigersharks or Racetigers.
I had a pair of racetigers out in Val D'Isere for a few days last season, and thought they were superb. |
