Why are you thinking of doing it this way Goppy? Is it to make it cheaper, because I don't think, from the limited exploration I have made, that it does work out cheaper. Perhaps there is another reason for you wanting to do it DIY, so fine.

Got back from Seefeld on 26th, having had good snow fall for three of the days. Conditions were pretty good towards the middle of the week, and snow cover to lower levels too.

How was Seefeld? Going to be there in just over a week. Any tips? Good restaurants, for example, cos we're in an apartment.

Hi everyone. I too live in west Wales, and have come back to skiing (at a rather advanced age).
This thread has been very interesting, so I wondered whether anyone has had any experience of non-standard fitting. My problem is that I have a quite pronounced ankle bone on my right leg (inside), which because of the pressure on it becomes very sore after about an hour or so. It is a case of living through the pain barrier, and painkillers to make it through the day. Can standard boots be modified to accommodate such anomalies, or would it mean custom-made boots? |

Rauris was good for us last year - half-term February time. Queues were bearable, depending on how impatient you are. Furthest hotel less than half an hour bus ride from lifts (including all the pick-ups)

Not getting much luck, Hayley!
We're going there (well, to their apartment) during half-term, and was hoping for some responses to your question too. Maybe nobody goes there? |

Probably mis-led you all. It was a 300 mile round trip - not one way. 3 hr journey one way.
