Are you going to leave it at that, Tony?:D Aren't you going to tell all of us how you managed to arrange such cheap trips, AND not use budget airlines? Seems like a piece of genius!
Maybe you haven't counted in the cost of booze as Saffer did, or perhaps ski hire etc didn't feature in your calculations |

Saffer. That is really interesting to hear. So it IS possible to get a cheaper holiday than the packages. How far in advance did yuo book the flights to get such a good figure?

Oh dear! :-( |

They are brilliant that lot, aren't they? |

Have a look at Seefeld. Only about 30 mins from Innsbruck airport, so can't be an expensive taxi ride. It's not a bad place for skiing.

Similar to many who have already replied, I went skiing for the first time, when I was 59 last year. Went again this year. Well, maybe last year was not my first time, but there was a thirty year gap between when I went before, and I started again in the Beginners. I have kept myself fairly fit however, over the years, and though my knees suffer a little,I am able to keep going throughout my holiday. I'd say, as long as their flexibility is reasonable, then your parents should be OK, but they should always build up for a skiing holiday with ski-specific excercises.

Goppy. I know what you mean - my partner is also a teacher, and half-term is killing me in the pocket. Even so, I have not found a cheaper way to do it other than a package. I follow your endeavours with interest.
