I have it on good authority that its do-able for those very experienced in the touring and off-piste side of things - i.e. neither you nor I!!
The bus will also get you to some great ski areas a lot quicker. ) |

Tony - I suggest a ride on the bus. There and back. |

Good stuff.
I hadn't heard of him, but the tributes tell the story. Some interesting footage on Youtube of him in action. |

Not required, but if I was looking for a pair would certainly have tried them as Karbon is really nice gear.
(And not at all "Gangsta" - which is a look I will leave to your son...) |

Best deal I've seen was a pair of really nice Karbon pants in the Blackburn store for £49.00. Original ticket price? £249.00.

ESWT seems (according to Wikipedia's definition) to involve increasing blood-flow to the damaged area which promotes healing of the affected tissues.
I had some "alternative" treatment for a damaged shoulder where the blood-flow thing was key, firstly to rid the injured muscles of the toxins which had built up and secondly to improve/speed up the healing process. The girl who treated me basically scraped the area with a piece of old bone (apparently as the American Indians would have done.) Cue jokes about having reservations..! Some acupuncture was also required. I looked as though I had been hit by a bus almost immediately afterwards, with blood coming to the surface and bruising coming out,but there was no pain involved and whilst the injury has not completely healed, the treatment was far more successful than anything else I tried. Its quite interesting stuff, because when one feels pain (as I did when the shoulder muscles went into spasm) the brain apparently overcompensates in dealing with the pain and "forgets" to disperse the crap which builds up and therefore the healing process is slowed... |

Absolutely no issue if you do as DaveMac says here - the weight is distributed so its hardly noticeable (to an adult.) "Its a hard life in ze mountains..." |
