Big problem may be that a lot of smaller TOs use Thomas Cook/First Choice charters

If you're not booked with Squeezyjet/jet2 etc than now may be the time

Crystal, Ski Alpine, Off the Piste, Hayes & Jarvis and Thomsons are part of Tui, Germany.

I have £6k of travel booked thro Thomas Cook. I checked them out before parting with the gelt.

Whatever differences Tony and I may have had, I will be the first to say, (for the most part), he is the God of the real deal.

You are not the same skier that deliberately slowed down ,so that another J2skier had to take desperately avoiding action, with a nearness factor of about 10mm? No, surely not possible!

To answer the question, I get time alone every year, and it's just great. It helps that most of those trips are in my favourite place, so I have friends there anyway.

It is surprising how many people you chat with on the gondola that you can have a lot a good skiing with. I have met several J2skiers in the gondela. I have skied with both of the first two J2skiers!

In Stuben, on a solo day, I once got to ski, and then share a beer, with some of the Austrian ski team coaches,! And another day, in Niederau, with the Austrian Ladies ski team. (Details of that episode are witheld!)

Just go for it!
Some of the statistics are a bit odd, (94%/36%), but I would be this down to a very low statistical group number.
Many countries and ski schools have, for a number of years, insisted on young skiers wearing helmets. Thus what they did when they were 14 years old, comes naturally when they are 20 years old. Within one generation, the statistics will reverse.

It depends who makes it, what machines they use, the water, the additives, and how it's groomed.. It can be more robust and consistent in changing conditions. At it's best it is like super fine packed powder that holds an edge like crazy, but doesn't rut or mogul despite the old schooler's best efforts.

The characteristics do offer more robustness. The modern machines use bio-friendly additives, and in certain conditions, it can be powderlike, although, it can also be a bit cruddy.

The key and MAIN advantage is that it makes a great base for the season. There are some seasons, where much of Europe's ski industry would be dead without snow cannons.

Another advantage is that the use of AS has allowed cross link-ups between mountains, enabling large ski areas to be created.

It doesn't mogul, but it TRENCHES like crazy!
The man who invented artificial snow was an engineer........
