Are we all going to ski the Sarenne together at some point during the week?

It's not a cruisy blue, it's definitely black.
I think what catches most people out is it gets harder as you go down, the entry is no more than blue, it's not till you get past the gondola pylon that it gets to it's steepest, by which time you're getting tired. The conditions on the video are about as good as you'll find on it. |

What has changed is ski technology, allowing people to do more, with the increased risk that brings.
There are also a lot more boarders about, my experience is that collisions are far more likely between a boarder and a skier than between two skiers (or between two boarders for that matter). |

The Face is a proper black. There's a thread on here 'The 10 Toughest Runs' where it gets several mentions. It might be beyond you at the moment.
You will know you've got quite good when you look back up having skied it. It's steep, often icy and sometimes bumpy. But watch this and make your own mind up. But be warned once you're on it you're committed. PS When you get down to where the video finishes, hang a left into the Banana Bar for a celebratory beer! |

Also called Mincing by British Army ski instructors, due to skiers looking really camp if they also have their hands wide but elbows in! :D

There are some silly deals about at the moment, seems they are struggling to sell holidays. Book a last minute deal a few days before you want to go.
I guess the shops will be doing the same sort of deals on boots, so get yourself out there and I've a feeling you'll be able to do both. |

I meant the area in shot, rather than where it slid.

I say we all 'accidentally' end up in the same place at the same time and make out that it's all happened purely by chance!
