I have to say that that is a mighty fine piece of retail therapy!

In most conditions The Sarenne is easy for a black. It's only really black so they can claim the longest black run status. Since the third stage of the Marmottes lift was built from the point it joins the run it's no more than red.
The only time it gets tricky is either in spring conditions when it can be icy in the morning or after heavy snow if it's not been pisted. People get far too concerned about the colour of runs and not about what is actually there. Conditions should be really good for us so I wouldn't hesitate taking intermediates down it (and even beginners when freshly pisted). The difference between the Sarenne and the Tunnel is about as big as it gets. I'd only take good skiers down the Tunnel. |

It is steep in parts and it does get bumpy. Fallers do tend to slide a long way!

Depends on the skier, I've known a few to progress so quickly they're skiing difficult blacks on their second week. Also some still struggling on reds in their 10th week. Time on snow doesn't always give a good indication of skill.

Make sure all of your groups venture up to the Pic Blanc peak as soon as we get a clear day, it's a view not to be missed, even if it's back down via the gondola (all blacks from there).

Piste condition excellent, powder off piste and turning colder. Should be perfect next week.
Now 65 out of 84 lifts open. |

It's Sunday, it's the first day for most plus you've got all the locals there for a weekend ski. It'll be a lot quieter tomorrow.

Is that the World Cup Super G run in Dec 08? If so I was there at the time and skied it the day after the race. A lot of snow overnight made it really 'interesting' lots of powder in places on top of an icy race prepared piste. Somewhat challenging!
