Ok, just got back from work, and it's starting to get a bit hairy on the side roads.

It has snowed lightly here in Bromley on and off all day, but in the last hour this has started to get quite a bit heavier.

It is very wet snow, so if we get the big freeze tonight, it is going to be rough tomorrow morning.

Total snow depth on the garden table is now about 6cm.
Snow chains?

The rental company should be able to supply them, albeit at a cost of course.

I would suggest that you pre-book them as well, just to be sure. Also check that you know how to use them before you depart the rental company, as there is nothing worse than being stuck at the side of the road in blowing, freezing snow, trying to work out how the chains fit the wheel.

Well, tis 10pm and still no snow in Bromley or Maidstone.

I'm off to bed, as I have a 5am start tomorrow  Unless there is a ton of snow overnight and work is closed, in which case I will just update the website and go back to bed. Fingers crossed
Val Gardena December 2009 Report

:D :P

geno68, I cannot thank you enough for this report. I have been trying to twist the arms of my brother and other ski mates to do an extra trip this year to Val Gardena, and this report is going to be duly shoved under their noses on a regular basis

I think the only issue I am going to have with them, is an economic one :(
Oh the irony !!!

I really hope not, for the sanity of everyone getting ready to leave soon.

Funnily enough the very first ski trip I ever did, some 31 years ago when at school, had a 24 hour delay on the flight out of Luton due to snow closing the runway. We were already on the plane and were supposed to be the next one up, but it got just a bit too bad :(
