Hi I suppose every-one knows its my fav place to go. Have a look at their web page it will give more detailed info on the slopes.
I love all of their three seperate ski area's. There are the nursery slopes very close to The Larchenoff hotel, this is where ski school is and some of the best instructors I have come across.
Walk to town centre and onto the Gwastankoff, more advanced but ideal for intermediates, lovely slopes beautifully groomed and not to crowded. All the cross country trails start from around here.
Also here is the ski jumping and fantastic eating places.
In the centre is a fabulous pool with a heated outdoor pool that overlooks the village, ice skating and curling.
Walk through the town, up a hill, you can use ski buses, they are really regular, but we never do, this is the Rosschutte, much more advanced, although good for intermediates. Good snow board park good as well, good fast lifts, funicular and fantastic eating holes on top.
For the experienced expert skiers Seefeld slopes would probably not be challenging enough but intermediate, perfect.
There is a train station in Seefeld and half an hour away and the cost of 5eu into Mittenwald, or a further 15mins onto Garmisch/Germany beautiful resort.
From Seefeld you can if you want walk to all of the surrounding villages, all have slopes, great for a change. Leutasch a short bus away, fantastic slopes.
We always stay at the hotel Alpina which is owned by the same people as The Larchenoff and its the best service, food etc I have ever had so I expect the Larchenhof has the same standards.
All in all I love Seefeld. Any-thing else you can think of just ask.
I think this year the Ice festival and the Nordic cup will be on when you are there, great fun.
Also a trip to Igls for bob sleigh run, scary but good fun.

One tip I have picked up from Lapland forums, everywhere you go, around slopes, in woods, backs of slopes are wooden huts with a permanant fire going always with a kettle on and tosting forks by fire. Take some sarnies with you and when you get cold or hungry stop, warm up and toast your sarnies. A good money saver I think.

I have been on the Lapland forum a lot of late and people are just coming back with their reviews and prices. That is scary I am either going to come back as skinny as a rake or bankrupt.
Advice please.

daved wrote:total curiosity ..but WHY do you fall over..maybe its a balance thing ..possibly you should try a Bosu (wobbly half ball) to develop your balance..
just a thought

No, not a balance thing, just go at things like a bull at a gate and clumsy.
My worst fall last year although crampons would not have saved me. Went on a long hike up hills, through woods etc, miles from any-where. Me as usual needed a pee, miles from anywhere, so had to make a dash behind trees. Forgetting that bracken and twigs under the snow curl over, hooked my foot in one and literally flew through the air and down an embankment. Not funny
