Thanks for your kind replies...skis are edged with the tool Trencher recommended and waxed with rub-on wax ( got my travel iron ready for the hot wax!!) really hope to get up there soon!

Lifts opened today to bluebird skies and powder unfortunately me and snowb4ndit didnt get to ski due to no liftpass until tomorrow..
hope its worth the wait!!!

what edging tool would you reccomend Trencher (cheap!) and is the instant wax teflon stuff you wipe on any good? I did notice there is a toolshed with a decent bench there...

Well done Silverflora so glad you didnt give up! I think everyone feels like it at some point when learning.. sorry to hear of your ski incident I can see how that might of happened if you are on your own and have no idea of what yr supposed to do!
Anyway no harm done and you now have a head start for the next time you go..
