The Zardoz puck works really well ... just be careful the first time you use it .. it is super slippery, I had an embarrasing lift queue incident the first time I used it!!!

Try "The Boomerang", amazing burgers, hand cut chips ...friendly owner.. also usually a nice plat de jour!

I had snow tyres on the front and summer tyres on the back once...... never again!!! It was very exciting though..
My wife has a VW Golf mk7 4 motion .. posh car and very swish... we got the best snow tyres as we live quite high up and in a remote location .. it has never got stuck or let us down in some quite severe conditions.. However a lot of it is down to HOW you drive in snow and not how good you think your car is, I have seen a few "chelsea tractors " in ditches
Fiat Panda 4x4 ... yup seriously... narrow wheels, high profile tyres, ..mind you I wouldnt want to drive it here from England !!

Very unlikely to get them pinched on the mountain, you would have to ski down carrying them, also most chairlift/buttons wont allow it, so it would have to be the homerun.
Most of the time it is people innocently picking up the wrong ones ...this is where splitting them really helps...
However leaving them in the road outside a bar during apres-ski while you are drinking shots and forgetting all about everything and are out of sight of them is another story..
It is still very rare though..
High end snowboards are the most likely items to disappear
