We stayed at one of the apartments at Hotel Katarino - it is a couple of miles out of town but we had a hire car so that didn't present a problem to us (in fact we quite liked being a bit out of it). I think the hotel also runs a shuttle to the gondola station.
The apartment was UK owned but gave you full use of teh hotel leisure facilities, both apartment and facilities were good. regretably otherwise I didn't really rate the ski area or experience. http://www.bansko-holiday.co.uk/home.html Rustyinn |

We stayed La Tania a couple of seasons ago, like the gys say if you hit the happy hours, enjoy the free wine at the chalet with dinner then the 6 Euro a pint isn' to bad when your only fit for a couple more .

Hire a car ? It's an easy drive.
We get there on 3/1 and that's what we're doing. Rustyinn |

I'm part of a small group hitting Morzine for the first time on 30th January. Most of us are fairly experienced, but we do have one total begginer and one person only on their second week.
Any advice on the best ski school to arrange lessons for them with would be appreciated from those who have been there before. Rustyinn P.S. Of course if you also have info on best bars, huts etc. that's more than welcome to! ) |

Bansko is a nightmare at New Year - the main gondola queue is horrendous (I speak from sad experience).
