So sorry to hear your news, get well soon. I deal with heart attack patients every day. The majority of them do have to take things a litle easier than previous, ie listen to your body. But most go back to their activities including Ski-ing. The ones that dont, never did any activities in the first place. Plus age and fitness is on Hubbys side.
My Dad had a major coronary 10 years ago at age 65, he was wanting to do all the things he previously had done and felt well enough but it was my Mum who was stopping him doing everything. I needed a little chat with her about letting him enjoy himself. It worked and he now says he cycles further and faster than he used to, play a better round of golf and can walk the hind likes off me. His blood pressure and cholesterol levels are better than mine, and he is 75. So good luck, look after yourself and do what the Doc says. |
