No comparison in my opinion, Val Thorens wins hands down. The lift system in 3 Valleys is much better.

130 days and counting. :-) Val D'Isere.

We got really lucky, skied in Tignes in early December and had superb conditions. We ran a trip in Jan to St Anton (I wasn't on that one) which benefited from a well timed dump.
Then in March I was in Val Thorens, when I got there the conditions were very poor (god knows how bad it was in the lower resorts), then it dumped it down for the first time in 6 weeks and we had 5 great days, though by the end of the week they were needing snow again. |

I've skied both Morzine and Alpe D'Huez. No contest, Alpe D'Huez wins hands down.

Almost every weekend when I'm not skiing is spent angling. Summer and winter.

Taxi is booked for 3.15am tomorrow morning, so that means I have two thirds of a sleep until my second trip!

Can't remember the last time I skied a resort busy enough to have queues, with modern lifts long queues are surely a thing of the past? Other than when a lift has stopped for some reason.
