This year is only my second year / 3 and 4 Ski Trip but I really have the BUG so have bought myself some equipment so here is alist and a short review of each hop it helps.
1. Head Vector 100 - these are by fare my best investment, I really couldn't believe the difference it made to my Skiing, this boot is more on the sporting side of the range but still really comfy and very responsive 2. Snow Tracks - last year I slipped and fell when ever walking in my ski boots not one this year with these and walking seemed easier even on icy roads 3. Alpine Boot Gloves - only used these for a few days but wow, after taking my boots off the heat rack in the Ski room at the hotel I did my boots up put these on and my feet still felt warm at dinner even tough there was a -25 wind chill at the top. 4. Skins Snow 400 3/4's - I really didn't want to spend so much money on skins but so glad I did, the first 2 days of our trip it was +8 on the mountain but I didn't feel over warm with them on the next few days the temperature's dropped to well below - 10 with massive wind still felt very comfortable even on long chair lifts and a drag, they also provided really good support to end of day tired legs. 5. North Face Patrol 24 Backpack - This bag is the bollocks!! I could fit in a 3 litter insulated bag along with my packed lunch and a spare set of cloths and had room to spare, the carrying system is easy to use and made carrying ski's really easy and effort less (needed when I have to carry the Mrs's 2!!) it also has a handy camera holder on the belt. all this and the bag is still really stream line and feels lite on the back and causes no issues on char lifts. 6. 3 Litter Insulated Camel bag - Brilliant for full days of skiing when you don't want to brake off from skiing for a drink, I drink a lot of fluid normally let alone when I am pushing myself on the slopes so great for me. 7. merino wool Base Layer Top - did what I wanted it to do kept me warm and didn't get smelly after a hard day on the slopes. If anybody has any questions about anything I have reviewed then I will do my best to answer. Hope this helps |

We booked Cervinia for it's snow sure slopes at Christmas and ow boy did we have snow, we had over half a meter why we were there and it made for the best skiing conditions ever, off pisting in waist height powder at times.
We stayed at Petit Palais which had got mixed reviews but we found it to be excellent, food was spot on and it was right on top of the 2 lifts up the mountain and to top it off, it is all inclusive. Also on top of the massive slope list of Cervinia, Zermatt is just over the other side and was quality as well. Only downside was that the runs weren't massively demanding but why does Skiing have to be hard just enjoy the cruising and amazing views Cervinia has to offer I would certainly return |

I was in Cervinia for New year!! the Skiing there was amazing and I would return again, saying that I am off to Sauze at the end of the month but they haven't had the snow that Cevinia has had, if you go to Cervinia you must ski the Zermatt side ofthe Matterhorn.

so after all the hype about the monumental snow fall this weekend is it living up to it??
where has seen the largest "dump" so far? 10 days and counting until I hit the slopes in Cervinia and my fear of lack of snow seems a distant memory   |
