Very envious that it's your commute to work Snowb4ndit!

Do you know what time the buses start running from Chatel to the first lift? We think it's not until 8.30, which wouldn't give us enough time, but we'll be able to drive to the lift if so.

Where abouts are you going to be staying in Chatel?

Time to pack, advice on food.

We are of to Flaine, for a week. We don't expect to be eating in every night but sometimes its nice to put your feet up and stay in rather than brave the freezing night!

I definitely wouldn't waste valuable luggage space on things like pasta, it's all available here and not anymore expensive than at home.

Have a pizza night...You can buy fresh rolled pizza dough here and make your own. Mozarella very cheap.

You definitely dont need to bring sandwich meats...Sooooo much available here!

Oops, just read your signature...Flaine.

To be honest for a week I wouldn't really bother too much.

Bacon - Yes you just can't get bacon as we know it here, unless you pay through the nose.

Paxo stuffing if you're going to have a roast.

Most other things you can get here, the carrefour super market is pretty good.

Ethnic items i.e things you might need to make a curry are hard to find!

Drag lifts (skiers, not boarders)

I have no problem with drag lifts. I would always choose a chair over a button lift, but would not refuse to use one if it was the best option.
It's quite often my journey to and from work...It can be done.

It only takes me 50 minutes to get to/from Champery which is another regular route for me.
...When you didn't have time to check in to J2ski for a whole week but had plenty to tell when you got back.
Wow! Well done for such a comprehensive report.
