I am arriving in Moutiers at 9:15 (French time) going to Les Menuires. I have booked a transfer with Altibus but it does not leave until 12:15. It is only a half hour journey and waiting around for nearly three hours is a bit of a pain. (Taxis seem very expensive.)
Does anybody have any suggestions? Are there any alternative ways of getting to Les Men? If not can anyone suggest a good way of spending two and a half hours in Moutier (baring in mind we will be carting skis and luggage around with us. |

After some investigation I have found out that Eurolines, ski express buses on their regular timetable do take you into resorts. I leave on boxing day because there are no buses on Christmas day. Because this is a 'special service' it does not go into resorts!

It's good. Eurolines is slightly more expensive and it doesn't take you into resorts. So you have to buy a transfer on top. I wish I knew about this company a couple of months ago! It is a long journey though...much quicker by train or air! |

Beer is expensive but vodka is extortionate! (They are large measures though. so I don't grumble too much!)

Tino, I was very worried when I saw the photo of the air ambulance...I was very glad to see it wasn't a taxi for you!

Les Menuires first (over New Year). ADH for 5 days 2nd week Jan and then back there for 2nd week in Feb. I'm hoping to do something in March if all goes to plan. I'm feeling almost fit enough now, but Saturday night should be the test...going to see Soulwax/2 many DJ's so 9pm-3am dancing should get me in tip top shape for the skiing and even more in the mood for the Apres!!! Lol

Tino, Unlike Ally I have too much time on my hands at the moment and I have read your blog. I am looking forward to the next entry (if that's what you call it?)even though it is making me so jealous. I have a few trips booked and I am now bursting with excitement.
Do you have a plan of of where you are going throughout the season or are you taking things as they come? |
