I hate to tell you twirler, but this is half term week. you'd have a lot more luck getting a short break out of school holidays.

good luck

m0nk3y, I can't even begin to explain to you what those photos have done for me. I'm brimming with confidence now, thanks so much for posting them

can I see the auhof in the top right hand corner of the photo of the beginner slopes?

book another ski holiday asap!

brilliant news geordieski, I'm so pleased for you. do you think you'll go back next year (or later this year???) or will you try somewhere new?

Neukirchen anyone/Scheffau/Fieberbrunn?

obergurgl and, in particular, hochgurgl is full of wide cruisy blues. it's where I learnt and I'd highly recommend it.

I've also been reading up on cervinia in italy. It's described by "where to ski and snowboard" as miles of long, consistently gentle runs - ideal for early intermediates and anyone wary of steep slopes or bumps

it sounds like a real confidence boosting place as they overgrade the pistes, ie: the reds are really blues. physcologically good I think. I'm considering it for next year. it's also linked to zermatt so, if you suddenly become ultra confident you can give that a go too.

good luck
