Now I like to go to areas that offer discounts to the 60+s...makes me feel very superior...but then I have just bought a new pair of skis and then I tore a ligament or 2 going too fast in The 3 Valleys so maybe I don't qualify

€3.2 for a packet of Walkers crisps in Flaine !!!
the restaurant on the slopes by 1600 is cheaper and also has a picnic area Depends how you are going ,,,if you have a car its MUCH cheaper to shop outside the village......and hire the skis before you go the difference is astounding .../I know I had to do it in the village and my friend pre hired through skiset |

you get to the lifts by a free bus that stops outside the tourist office and the cinema...there are some nice runs at the top of the gondola to get you started and a nice blue down to Morrilons nice skiing and there looks still to be lots of snow
don't get the full grand massif lift pass just the more local one...enjoy yourself |

I like italy !!
been to la thuille from La Ros and loved the skiing there much better than La Ros..and the drag is a drag!..Courmayeuer is ok and the lift pass includes 2 days in La T (including free bus)or Pila or even Cervinia (but it is a trek from there) Looking at a budget trip next season and thinking of going to Limone di Piedmonte..which has a few special offers of hotels including the pass..and no single supplement (€399 for the week RyanAir (spit) to Cuneo) |

no it doesn't take long to get to the other parts of the 3 valleys ...looked a nice place and half the price of Courcheval where you need a second mortgage to by a coffee
Bouc Blanc is a lovely fast red back down to the village but it was getting a bit soft in the sun when I was there 2 weeks ago |
