No, I want something I can leave. So I can be in the pub!

Most freeride skis perform brilliantly on piste, the advance in technology with 'go anywhere' skis has been remarkable in the last 2 or 3 years.

Website clearly says £30 per item, given that's nearly double what most operators charge, I'd have a sense of humour failure if they tried to charge me twice.

The number of sleeps till our Verbier trip has reduced by one. I got confirmation of the flight times today. A 6am flight means leaving Norwich at about midnight so no sleep that night. (I'm not counting sleeping on the coach as technically you're on holiday then aren't you?)

Go for the best of both. Go the the shop in resort and say you want to try before you buy. They'll hire you a demo model (not hire skis) for the week and if at the end of the week you buy they'll deduct the hire cost from the price of a new pair.

Fingers crossed there's enough snow for them to open Jockeys, one of my favourite runs down to Le Praz.
Up in Courchevel your spoilt for choice, M and Suisses blacks. Or if you want a great cruse the Combe Saulire red joining the Stade Descente red. |

I never use a heated boot rack and I wouldn't use a heated boot dryer. I dry my boots at room temperature otherwise the liners expand and the first hour of skiing is agony. (I have odd shaped feet)
A dryer using cold air would be great. |
