I purchased the little food zip bags for customs at the airport (just so I don't get charged a tenner each or something when I'm there), I felt like a 7 year old at Xmas as I have to wait a whole 10 days until they are used.

The snow seems to be falling quite well now, and by the looks of it more to follow. Good news for all those heading out there (me included!!!).

I have BBR 7.5's. They are obviously not as wide but I think they are brilliant at all types of descents. However, my mate has 8.9's and he loves them, but does a lot of off piste....certainly more off than on.

I've just been reading about the poor family caught up in an avalanche in Lech, where we go in 6 weeks. Really tragic news to lose a 16 year old, and it seems very much out of keeping as the risk guidance was at the lowest level.
