If you plan on taking Ski Boots as hand luggage check with both your airport and airline that this is allowed. As either can refuse. When I spoke to the airport they said they didn't have a problem but to check with my airline as they may have. Some airlines state they won't allow it and some of those state it's due to airport regulations.

I would love an app. I appreciate the fact that it would involve certain skills and plenty of time though!

I am childless and have little patience with people who wish to inflict their children on me.
However in the case of a baby on a plane I have sympathy. I don't think people should be banned from crying because babies cry. We've all been babies and all been given allowances. My bugbear is with children who misbehave to the amusement of their parents who seem to think I should find it as 'cute' as they do. The word parent is a verb as well as a noun. Babies are a minor irritation compared to the children who don't understand the word no and that not everywhere they are taken is their personal kingdom. Having said this there are also plenty of well behaved children on flights. It's just that you don't notice them and the annoying families stand out so much more. I would pay more to be guaranteed a child free cabin. But not because of crying. Because of brats. |

If you can get to Chill Factor during the week it's a lot quieter. The slope's at it's best when they open. The queues are shortest then too. I've never had to queue early on weekdays.
They have an offer of a 2hr lift pass for £15 weeknights 9-11pm until the end of January. It is the longset slope in England but it can get repetitive. I Luke to go once or twice before a skiing holiday to get my ski legs. It is good for practicing certain things too. |

Most banks seem to cover winter sports. That's where I get mine from recently. Plus it seems to have one the reasonable approaches to alcohol.
I have had to claim twice from insurance companies. (Only once for skiing.) Both times the company has been extremely reasonable and helpful, never quibbling on anything. Either I am the luckiest person alive or I'm heading for a big fall! |
