I can only view the situation through my eyes ....... Once a week a drive down to the nearest large town "Cluses" where you will find more or less brit prices, there will be some variation but last time I visited it was 50/50, some products cheaper others not, but you will certainly not be paying ski resort prices. I always think the quality of fresh veg looks and tastes a lot better than ours.

Absolutely, but there are some things which will always be more expensive like English tea bags and six months without a decent cuppa is uneccessary. Not for me, I don't drink tea, but I couldn't go without my marmite on toast.
Thank you for your input Ian.

When I come out in January tell me what you are running out of and I'll bring it with me, does that make you happy.

The whole point of this thread is so that we don't run out of anything. You can bring what we forget!

Marmite would be 1st on my list too, but I see you've got that one!
What I thought of was painkillers, medication.
A few years ago in Chamonix my son had a throat infection.
We weren't prepared and had to buy some painkillers. What we got were some kind of minty chewy ones which cost almost €4.
Things like that are so much cheaper in our supermarkets and recognisable too.
Have a great time, my nephew has done the last 3 seasons in Morzine and loves it.

Painkillers are now on my list!
Is your nephew going to be there this season?
