How do you wrap the chain around the skis? Around the bindings and then the post etc. or what? So what length of chain/cable do you need?

Quite a lot of the cable locks are 0.9m, which I've found a bit short in the past. Many bindings have a slot on the heel lever, this is a good place to thread a cable through, or through the brakes as an alternative. Anything which will resist a casual thief.

Not all, but most regular alpine skis have them. Most look like these :D

I didn't realize they were brakes until last year :oops:. I always thought those prongy things by the bindings were just so you could fit your skis together for carrying them. But I guess it explains why skis don't disappear down the mountain when they come off.
Bandit, thanks. I will have a look in a bike shop for a cable lock just over 0.9m long. The next problem I have is this :- am I more likely to lose the key, or forget the combination? .....
It would be a long walk down the mountain .... :cry:
