Laughed and pointed at, you mean?
If I saw someone wearing that I'd be shouting "Oi, Bertie, show us your all sorts...."

Olly is a tall, dark, handsom dude (not to mention young!) and he certainly does get a lot of people (namely the opposite sex) shouting "show us your allsorts".

Talking about naff - I purchased some new poles for a trip back in February. On the first day of the holiday I completed a black run in Ponte di Legno to discover the straps had become detached from the poles. On close inspection, the nylon straps had frayed right through by the hole by which it is attached to the retaining pin. I borrowed a spare pair from a friend. I was going to take them back to the retailers however, it appears that this was a design fault  and I would have been fobbed off with an exchange pair and the same problem! The pole itself is a nice thin composite and I like the poles. So I have made my own straps but will have to wait until December to try them out.
I am not sure if I can name the poles on this post (legal reasons) but they were purchased from a well known retailer.

Blimey my poles have lasted me 15 years, and I am quite attached to them now

Hi Ian, not best pleased as you can imagine. I did'nt think I skied that aggresive! The poles are made by a very big name in skiing world but they have a design problem for sure.

My Old poles are Head Carbons, brought them at the Birmingham ski show in 1995, looking a tad battered now but they do the job
