This year costs £960 includes flights, food, booze and transfers which works out £320 per head, I still have Little W's lessons and all of our lift passes to fork out for so if you shop around there are still some good bargains to be had.........I think I might be able to make a hell of a dent in the chalets booze budget

No I have not given up driving, normally I would not worry too much about costs, but with
a new start up business I'm trying the sensible option and control my costs, by doing this I might just be able to run to ski holiday number two in March.

My better half hasn't taken to skiing (well, she says she will ski but not all day and not everyday...what a waste!) so this year it's just me and the kids. This year is costing me £1500 for all 3 of us with EVERYTHING included.

Skiing is a damn expensive holiday but so much more satisfying than decomposing on a cruise liner or on the beach.

Well, those all sound very good deals - Tony, Ian and Coop :D

So, I currently spend the most on my ski holiday

I'm sure there must be other J2skiers who spend far more than I do.

But we don't seem to have progressed much with helping the OP find something cheap in Morzine/Avoriaz

Its really about sorting out a budget and then hitting the net, there are plenty of bargains out there
you just got to find them, it really does help the ski budget if you go outside of half term.

Currently there are offers on such as half price lift passes, buy one get one free ski rental and free child spaces as the holiday companies are trying to tempt us to book early. I have fallen into that trap but feel I have a fab deal ! Do shop the net in the unexpected places and the deals are there ! )

Just remember to add at least £60 per day for a bite to eat at lunch time on the hill as there is nowhere else to go and they charge whatever they like

I have to say that Italy doesn't seem as expensive to eat on the mountain as other places. For the two of us we usually spend around 20 Euros inc a glass of wine and a beer.
