Hi All
Totally new to this forum so hello!
Planning a skiing holiday for next year to Pas de la Casa and want to know peoples thoughts, travelling from Ireland has its limits and the price is a major factor!
We fly to Toulouse Airport and i think its about a 3 hour journey to the resort. Speaking with friends etc Pas de la Casa is resonably priced and good for the novice skier!
Any thoughts, hints or tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Iain

'magaluf on snow' is often quoted.
If you are young enough you will have a ball. Its not for me as i like to be in bed for ten dreaming of the next days first lift.

Welcome Ian,
There is loads on info on here about skiing in Andorra and Pas de la Casa.
Do a search and read some old stuff - you will get a whole range of views.
I have never skied Andorra but in general it is known as a good place for the novice skier.
When do you plan to go?
Not sure how snow sure it is early and late season.
On cost several people have commented that prices are similar to the average Alpine resorts nowadays (excluding those mega resorts that tend to be pricier such as Three Valleys, Val D'Isere and St Anton for example).
Hope this helps - I'm sure you will get lots more comments over the next few days.

I was in Arinsal last year with a beginner friend and he found it great..lots of English instructors and reasonable costs ..in all excellent value..we went in Jan and March and though the snow in Jan wasn't good it was a bad year all over the Alps but there was enough to have a good time..don't know about Pas de Casa but it cant be too different

Been there 4 Times !!! and I'm Irish so .....
Like everywhere it depends on what you want !!!
Good noisey bars and cheapish beer ? You wont be sorry !
Family and beginners ..... Maybe not. (Soldeu down road much better for that)
Does carry the tag Mandorra, so if male dont go hoping to meet females !
Snow making is good, and schools are good.
Red into village is quiet daunting for the beginner on first week and it's unavoidable if you want to see more than Pas side. (again Soldeu is better easier on the beginner)
Have to give you a few negatives, but I went back 3 times and loved it, and have been to Soldeu last two years(getting older you see!!)
I love the whole Granvalira area and will hopefully go back next year so.....
GWAN GWAN GWAN !!!!! -)
